Ever wondered what people with too much time AND too much money do all day? Well, they just glue the day away and stick shimmery coins to their cars of course!

Mercedes SL-600

 Money Car 2

Now, we know the above car isn't covered in coins, but we still thought that it warranted inclusion. The Mercedes SL600 was covered in over 300,000 Swarovski crystals and featured in Tokyo's auto show in 2010. Can you say BLING?! (Source)

1969 Austin Mini Cooper

Money Car 13

The above car is so unbelievable that it's actually on display at Malaysia's very own Ripley's Believe It Or Not! museum. This 1969 Austin Mini Cooper is covered in more than 20,000 24-karat gold plated Canadian pennies! I guess Ken Burkitt just didn't trust his local bank! (Source)

Lincoln Town Car

Money Car 12

At another Ripley's Believe It Or Not! m useum in Panama City Beach, you'll find another amazing car; a Lincoln Town Car, covered in over 23,000 gold plated British coins. The total value of the car is estimated at around $1.3 million!! (below) (Source)

1971 MGB Sports Car

Money Car 6

The next car in line, yet another creation of golden boy Ken Burkett, a 1971 MGB sports car covered, once again, in over 10,000 24-karat gold plated British coins! (Source)

Money Car 5

To see the above car, you'll have to travel to a country that has become infamous for it's super extravagant and over the top cars. It's no wonder that Tarek Javaid spent many hours (3,000 to be precise) gluing over 33,000 shiny new UAE coins (dirham), all in honor of the UAE's 40th National Day. Now, let's just hope nobody bumps into him - there's definitely no silver lining in that nightmare! (Source)

Mercedes G55 AMG

Money Car 9

While you're in Dubai, you might want to hop on over to one of the UAE's less famous emirates; Ajman. You might just be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the super flashy Mercedes G55 AMG that took over 160 hours to completely cover with 47,000 1-dirham coins, bringing it to a total of roughly 8,200 British pounds!! (Source)

Money Car 10

Let's just take a closer at that car and think about it for a second... Dubai is in the desert with blazing hot and shining sun all year - what would happen if somebody actually drove this car in the middle of the day? Can you say accident waiting to happen? I think the glare from that car would be enough to blind somebody!

1976 Cadillac

Money Car 7

In another place just as sunny and a little more, err, liberal, you'll find a 1976 Cadillac covered completely in 120,000 1976 vintage coins. The car weighs a total of 3.5 tons, and the coins are responsible for 1/3 of that weight, coming in at 1 ton! To top it all off, they've been very meticulous about their coins, placing them all heads up and in an orderly fashion. Hey... it only took 2 years! (Source)

Money Car 8

It's actually ingenious if you really think about it... never again will you have to go diving into dark corners and creases of your car seats looking for spare change for that parking meter. Brilliant!

1949 Cadillac

Money Car 4

Keeping in line with Cadillacs, Teresa Thompson spent an entire summer covering her 1949 Cadillac with 38,249 pennies! All the pennies really added up in the end and add an extra 200 pounds to the car's original weight. So, let's see, 38,249 pennies = $382.49 (about 245 British pounds)... I'd say that's a pretty good value! I mean, it's certainly less expensive than buying a whole new paint job for the car! That's what I call savvy spending! (Source)

Ford (The Penny Car)

Money Car 3

And now introducing the Ford penny car, year and make unknown - oh well! (Source)

Money Car 1

And for the last car in our lineup, we travel back home to chilly London where Vauxhall placed a car in the middle of the city covered in £1 pound coins. It was a PR stunt of course, but people took it very seriously. I mean, that's enough for another cup of coffee - well worth the fight!

So that’s my morning coffee sorted!!! (Source)
